Scott Nix grew up around inventive and hardworking individuals, and he consistently keeps those important traits front-of-mind while running his company. Brady Nix

General Manager & Estimator | Started in 2001
In true family business fashion, Brady has been working for Nixcavating since he was 14. His hands-on knowledge of job site operations, ability to plan and execute needed tasks, and his knack for working well with people are just some of the skills he’ll bring to the project. With over two decades of experience at Nixcavating, there are not many situations he hasn’t seen before. He’s happiest when muddy in a trench or pulling levers in equipment, but his natural talent for quality control and his ability to anticipate and pivot around the inevitable obstacles that arise in construction has been priceless to Nixcavating, both on the job sites and in the office as an estimator.

Zach Kincaid

Estimator | Started in 2011
Zach started with Nixcavating as a laborer in 2011, but his outgoing personality and ability to retain and work with numbers made it clear there were other opportunities available for him. He started estimating in February of 2018, and has quickly demonstrated his added value to the team.

Andrew Huck

Supervisor | Started in 2004
Andrew started at Nixcavating nearly twenty years ago and has been involved in every scope of a project since then. His “can-do” attitude and attention to detail made him an easy choice for promotion to Supervisor in 2021. Andrew’s hands-on experiences working in the industry for 20+ years makes him a valuable asset to any project.

Jason Pietsch

Supervisor | Started in 2017
Jason started at Nixcavating after moving down from the mountains in 2017, and he quickly became our right of way operator for his ability to work well under pressure and ensure jobs got completed safely and efficiently. His transition to Supervisor a few years ago was seamless, thanks to his even keeled personality.

Rodger Carney

Project Foreman | Started in 2010
Construction projects are nothing but moving parts, equipment and bodies, and Rodger has a strength in making sure all those parts are working as efficiently as possible. His skills coordinating some of our largest utility install projects ensure deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded.

“I have dealt with Nixcavating several times on different jobs around my small farm. I hesitate to write a great review simply because I want to keep them to myself! But they deserve the best review I can give, so 10 stars to these fine folks. They are attentive, fair, thorough, honest, and they always make sure that I am 100% satisfied before they finish. You will not find another company of this type that is better than Nixcavating.”
